Alex and Kyle are already one of my favorite couples! These two absolute sweethearts were so fun to capture for their engagement session! They chose to do their session at Dalton's Farms in Swedesboro, NJ. Which is always an INCREDIBLE backdrop! These two enjoy breweries so it made sense to have their wedding at Mudhens in Wildwood (Which I just captured for the first time and I am obsessed with!) However it also made sense to have a little "beer picnic" included in our engagement set! Where the couple had a Mudhens blanket to share their Mudhen beers on! I even got to take home beers for me and my husband to try (so stinking cool!)
During booking I always ask to hear the couple's story and I just wanted to share their proposal story because it was adorable. Alex says, "The man knows me well. I decorate our home every major holiday. The pillows and throws are changed out each season. It drives him insane because our storage space is lacking, but he loves me and knows it makes me happy so he always tells me how nice it is each time I change them out. I'm a big fall gal so our home is decked out. I came home from a shift one night and realized my pumpkin sign was moved on our front porch, but he had purchased the orange brush lights that I asked for and some other fall outdoor decorations. I walked in and was greeted. He asked me to shower and let him know when I was done because he had a surprise for me in the backyard. I had apparently been taking too long getting showered and brushing out my hair because he had to keep going back outside to stop the camera so he could record the proposal on his phone. I came down and he gave me a blindfold, walked me outside. Then the tune of "She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5 started to play and he told me I could remove the blindfold. Our backyard was all lit up with candles hanging around my head, our string lights, and our firepit. He had hung pictures of us from throughout the years on our fence. He asked me to marry him after my eyes settled back on him. I said yes immediately without seeing the ring. We kissed and hugged and then he finally said "do you want to see the ring?". He did a good job on that too. Listened to exactly what I had wanted for an engagement ring. Then we popped a bottle of champagne and had Chinese food for dinner. Then proceed to call our close friends/family to tell them that yes we were finally engaged!"
Am I right or am I right? Aren't they ADORABLE?! I can't wait to capture their big day later this year!
