Roadside Wedding | Merion | September 19, 2020

Micheal and Elizabeth went to high school together, but were not together back then. Even though they made senior superlative of the category "friendliest" together. Even more then that.. they matched at compatible on their Valentines day match quiz! (Elizabeth still has proof of both) How adorable? Much later they reconnected and now here they are.. Married!

Micheal and Elizabeth were supposed to be married in April, but had plans changed due to pandemic restrictions. Although some were still in place they had a beautiful day at the Merion in Cinnaminsion, NJ. The weather was seasonably chilly for a September wedding (every bride with a big heavy dress's DREAM!) their outdoor reception was just beautiful!

The Merion has now set up a tent in their garden area to follow pandemic guidelines and I think they should keep it forever! The feel of this area was magical as a reception space!

There were so many beautiful family traditions I got to document for this couple! The Bride, Elizabeth, wore her Grandmother's crown and Great Grandmother's earrings as she married the love of her life.

At the reception though was the coolest tradition of all! As it was explained to me the bride's family has all been given numbers by great grandparents. They began counting as their family grew. So each new baby and new spouse claims the next number. Micheal was given family member number "257" to which he was given a golden necklace with his new family number to wear the rest of the night. I have never seen anything like that at a wedding it was really cool!
