Here I am at 2am at my desk, because I can not stop editing. I am so lucky to have a job that allows me to serve others on one of the biggest days of their lives while also filling my own cup. I couldn't sleep because I wanted to just keep working on these photos. Also our kids had their last day of school today and my 4 year old thinks that means you never have to go to bed again so that was also a factor in why I am still awake.
This past Saturday Angel and George had the coolest aesthetic for their wedding decor. I love getting to shoot such unique and different wedding vibes. This couple was actually just using their own families local history to bring some of their backgrounds into their day. Flanders fit the vibe PERFECTLY! Which was also convenient beings that these two have deep history in Ocean City and were even engaged right on the Ocean City beach!
These two were a photographers dream! We were really limited on spaces and possibly weather, and as a light and airy photographer I wasn't thrilled about using flash indoors for their photos, but we made do until I could get them out for sunset where the clouds went away and the sun was the perfect orange/purple... and you HAVE to see the results of that! I am still staring at them in awe! We had originally planned to walk down to the beach, but the couple (and everyone else) wanted to go party and celebrate. Also, the light was so perfect right there outside the hotel doors I was thrilled to stop there. I never would have planned to shoot with a parking lot and beach goers in the background, but I absolutely love it! These types of situations are fun, both indoor flash and parking lot backdrops are not my comfort zone, but diving into it the results and the experience were to amazing! 10/10 would do it again!
This couple chose to do a first look and read their vows allowed to one another. Which has been a popular option lately and I am loving this idea so much!! This couple also had the COOLEST first dance! They choreographed their dance to a very non-traditional song and they looked Incredible!!
Angel and George it was a pleasure working with you both. I am honored to be trusted with documenting your big day. I hope you treasure these photos for the rest of your lives!
